Sakaya (酒屋) means “sake shop” in Japanese. A place where people come together to discover, taste, and talk about sake. That sense of community is at the heart of what we do.

We are based in Japan and work closely with small, independent breweries across the country. Through the Furusato Nozei system, which helps support rural communities, we’ve built personal relationships with brewers who create sake with care and character. These connections allow us to share bottles that are rarely available outside Japan.

Soon you will be able to join the Sakaya Club, a monthly subscription that brings authentic Japanese sake directly to your home. We are creating a flexible system where you can choose what fits you best: full bottles to enjoy and share, or smaller tasting pouches that let you explore new breweries at your own pace.

Each delivery will be curated in Japan and include tasting notes, pairing ideas, and the stories behind each sake. It’s an easy and honest way to experience Japan’s sake culture wherever you are.
